The openings and closings were chronologically general, so they might play daily, weekly, or several times a week. The stories narrated by a western hand known only as "the Old Wrangler," told the adventures of cowboy film star Buck Jones (Charles Frederick Gebhart) and his horse Silver (named in the Jones films before the advent of The Lone Ranger). _{John Dunning}
